Back in the 1800s, the only way to transport goods was by a horse-pulled wagon. A single horse would pull a wheeled vehicle containing up to 2,000 pounds of items. Now, imagine having to use a horse to transport your lot of vehicles to and from an auto auction house. That would be crazy!
Although we didn’t exist in the 1800s, Big Valley Auto Auction has been around since 2008 and we’ve assisted thousands buyers and sellers with getting their vehicles where they need to be. We offer 5 different transportation services and we’re going to break them all down for you, to help you decide if Big Valley’s services are a good fit for you, or not.
What Transportation Services does Big Valley Auto Auction Provide?
Big Valley Auto Auction offers 5 different transportation services.
Service #1: Vehicle Pickup
Depending on your location, prices may vary.
- Middle and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas: $50.00
- Starr County, Texas: $100.00 per vehicle
- Corpus Christi / Laredo, Texas: $200.00
Being prepared for your pick up will ensure a seamless experience for both you and your driver. Our team will ask the following questions, so take time to review these so you're prepared to answer:
- Can your vehicle drive to the auction?
- Do your vehicles need to be towed?
- Are there any specific accommodations for the vehicle?
- What type of vehicle is it?
- Is the vehicle manual or automatic?
- Does it have enough fuel to make the trip?
- Have the fluids been checked and topped off?
- Are the tires properly inflated and in good condition to drive?
If your vehicle is operable and not in need of a dolly, trailer, or tow truck, then one of our employees will drive your vehicle to the Auto Auction.
Service #2: Delivery
- Middle and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas: $50.00 per vehicle
- Starr County, Texas: $100.00 per vehicle
- Corpus Christi / Laredo, Texas: $200.00
Service #3: Dolly
- Middle and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas: $120.00 per vehicle
- Starr County, Texas: $175.00 per vehicle
- Corpus Christi / Laredo, Texas: $200.00
This service benefits by expediting the process. If you have an inoperable vehicle in your lot, or, in the worst case scenario, your vehicle breaks down on the side of the highway, we’ll send a dolly to transfer your vehicle to the auction.
Service #4: Trailer
- Middle and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas: $120.00 per vehicle.
- Starr County, Texas: $175.00 per vehicle.
- Corpus Christi / Laredo, Texas: $200.00
- Travel trailers / RVs: $125.00
This service is best if you have a large, inoperable vehicle. This is different from a dolly service as trailers are capable of carrying heavier vehicles on a flat surface, whereas a dolly pulls vehicles.
Service #5: Tow Truck
- Middle and Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas: $120.00 per vehicle.
- Starr County, Texas: $175.00 per vehicle.
- Corpus Christi / Laredo, Texas: $200.00
- Travel trailers / RVs: $125.00
If neither Dolly or Trailer services suit your needs, a tow truck would be your best choice. Tow trucks are tailored for inoperable vehicles with front damage, or are too big or wide for a dolly. However, the tow truck is designed to transport only 1 vehicle.
