Have you ever signed up for a gym membership? Most people who join a gym have the goal of improving themselves. Whether it be to lose weight, get muscle, or just to feel better, finding the right gym is the first step to starting that new journey of improvement. The same can be said for a dealer registering with the right auto auction.
Since 2008, Big Valley Auto Auction has helped dealers buy and sell vehicles to help improve their journey in the automotive industry. In 2012, we added the option to bid online, giving dealers another way to find success.
In this article, we’re going to go over how registering with Big Valley Auto Auction can benefit your dealership and how you can register. After reading this article, you’ll have the information needed to decide if Big Valley Auto Auction is the right choice for you.
How Does Registering with Big Valley Auto Auction Benefit My Dealership?
When you sign up for a gym, you’ll usually receive benefits that come with the membership. There are 5 benefits you receive when you become a registered Big Valley Auto Auction dealer. Let’s dive into them.
Benefit #1: Inventory
Big Valley Auto Auction’s inventory consists of cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, and even boats. We run our weekly inventory every Thursday morning at 9:30AM and during our Second Chance Sale later that day at 4:00 PM.
Once the Thursday sale is over, we will list any vehicles that were not sold as “Buy Now” inventory after our Second Chance Sale. “Buy Now” vehicles will be available to purchase until the following Monday at 5:00 PM. This gives you the chance to make an offer or purchase any leftover inventory you may be interested in adding to your lot or might have missed out on during our first and second chance sales.
Benefit #2: Second Chance Sale
In case you missed our Early Bird sale at 9:30 AM, don’t worry. We also have a Second Chance sale at 4:00 PM. This benefits you if you are a buyer who is unable to step away from your dealership during early office hours. We understand that leaving your dealership in the morning could cause you to miss out on potential customers visiting your office, so we give dealers the opportunity to attend in the afternoon.
This also benefits you if you’re a seller who didn’t sell your vehicle during the morning sale. This gives you a second chance to run your vehicle in front of a new audience, and make any adjustments, such as lowering the price and disclosing any issues.
Benefit #3: Online Simulcast Option
We live in the 21st century, where you can do almost everything online. In 2012, we adapted with technology and offer our dealers the chance to bid online. This benefits you by allowing you to bid on a vehicle from the comfort of your home or office.
If you’re an out-of-town dealer who isn’t able to attend our auction day in-person, this also helps you by letting you bid from wherever you are, on your desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile phone.
Benefit #4: Sale Day Events
In addition to running 52 sales a year, some of those days are celebration and holiday sales. We have themed sales, such as a St. Patrick's Day Sale, Cinco de Mayo Sale, and Big Valley’s Anniversary Sale. These sale days usually have more dealers in attendance, which means more eyes on your vehicles and more vehicles to bid on.
Along with a bigger audience, we also have giveaways during these sales. We’ll raffle off items like Yeti coolers, cups, and even TVs and BBQ pits for our Anniversary sale. So, even if you don’t take home a vehicle, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll leave those sale days empty-handed.
Benefit #5: Variety of Payment Options
Having the winning bid on a vehicle is one thing. Paying for it is the important part. We provide multiple payment options to accommodate your financial situation.
- Cash (Cash payments are deposited immediately)
- Cashier’s check
- Business check
- Flooring company (If applicable)
Business checks are held until a valid, transferable title is received. When purchasing multiple vehicles, we advise that you submit a check for each purchase. If you provide one large check, the entire check amount will be deposited when the first title is received by the auction.
Personal checks are not accepted.
We also accept 10 different floor plan options.
- AXLE Funding (formerly Auction Credit)
If the flooring company you work with is not listed, you can still work with Big Valley. The buyer may send in a company check, cashier’s check, submit an ACH wire transaction, or use a different flooring company.
Some flooring companies pay for the vehicle at the time of purchase, while others wait until the auction receives the title. Be sure to check with your flooring company to clarify policies. Once the payment process has been completed, you’re ready to take your new purchase to its new home.
