Have you ever asked someone on a date, but after they said yes, you realize you don’t look your very best? After seeing yourself in the mirror, you decide to fix your hair, brush your teeth, shave, and shower. Once you go through this transformation, you look more presentable and ready to go out. The same can apply to a car. If you’re a dealer and you want your vehicle to look better before auction day, you can send it through a reconditioning process.

Big Valley Auto Auction has been around since 2008 and we’ve fixed up numerous vehicles with our reconditioning services. We’ve had vehicles with all types of scratches, marks, dirt, and other flaws, and we’ve cleaned them all up very nicely.

We have 6 reconditioning services to choose from, with multiple stages included. It might seem like a lot, so we’ll break them all down for you, to help you decide if our services are best for your vehicles, or not.

What Are Big Valley Auto Auction’s Reconditioning Services?

Big Valley Auto Auction offers 6 different reconditioning services that will get your vehicle ready for display.

Wash Only: $25.00

Our Wash-Only service is a detailed cleaning of the vehicle's exterior. This includes the use of Black Scorpion degreaser, which breaks up oils, grease, and cleans car engines and hard-to-clean areas. This service also features:

  • Removal of all writing from the windows and body.
  • Scrubbing the exterior with a wash mitt, from bottom panels to top.
  • Rinsing off the soap.
  • Drying the vehicle.

If you’re a dealer who is just looking to give your inventory a quick wash, this service is best for you.

Wash, Vacuum, and Tire Dressing: $35.00

If you’re looking for something a little more thorough, a Wash, Vacuum, and Tire Dressing would get the job done.

Stage 1: Wash

This service includes all the benefits of the Wash-Only phase, such as the removal of all writing from the vehicle, scrubs the exterior, and rinsing and drying.

Stage 2: Vacuum

Vacuuming the entire vehicle is something we add to strengthen its cleanliness. Also included in this package is:

  • Removal of all mats.
  • Airing out the vehicle from the trunk to the front.
  • Wiping down dusty dashboards and cup holders.

Stage 3: Dress Wheels and Clean Windows

“Dressing wheels” is a fancy way of saying “shining your wheels.” Supershine is a product that polishes the wheels and gives them a long-lasting shine. This service also cleans your windows with glass cleaner.

Stage 4: Quality Check

“Quality check” is a double check, making sure everything is 100% finished. A quality check consists of:

  • Pulling the vehicle into the sun and checking that the interior and exterior work is complete.
  • Removes any rough, gritty particles from the body.
  • Checks that wheel wells, rims, plastics, and window work is complete.

Standard Detail: $115.00

Standard Details are good for dealers who want to clean the vehicles that will be displayed in the front of their lot. This is used more for the cars in the first row, as opposed to those in the second and third rows that may be dented, and covered by the detailed vehicles.

Stage 1: De-Trash

Removing trash from the inside of your vehicle is the first extra perk of our standard detail service. But it doesn’t stop there.

Stage 2: Wash

The benefit of our Wash-Only service comes with a standard detail.

Stage 3: Interior

Along with a wash, you get the addition of an interior cleaning. We use All Clean, which is a chemical cleaner that cuts through all levels of dirt, grease and grime, as well as wipes up spilled drinks and body oil. This is applied to all your door panels, dashboard, and center console.

  • Removes mats and seats from the vehicle.
  • Airs out the vehicle from the trunk to the front.
  • Vacuums the entire unit.
  • Dresses all plastics with Super Bee. (Armor All that shines and cleans.)

Stage 4: Exterior

If you’re paying for an interior cleaning, getting an exterior cleaning makes sense. But this exterior cleaning is worth the money. It features the previously mentioned benefits of using All Clean to wipe down rims and wheel wells, and Supershine Dressing on the wheels and wheel wells, with the additions of Showroom Shine Pink cleaner and Rejuvenator.

Showroom Shine Pink removes fingerprints, dust, and smudges from the body of the vehicle, and Rejuvenator restores paint from the body and trim of your vehicle.

Other features include:

  • Applies glass cleaner to all windows, inside and out.
  • Dries windows and body with microfiber cloths.
  • Headlight restoration.

Stage 5: Quality Check

The assurance that comes with a quality check is included in this stage.

  • Pulls the unit into the sun and checks that the interior and exterior work is complete.
  • Removes overspray from the body.
  • Checks that wheel wells, rims, plastics, and window work is complete.
  • Photo updates to AutoIMS and CRSimplified

Premium Detail: $200.00

A Premium Detail is best for a dealer who has vehicles that need a little extra work done.

Stage 1: De-Trash

Stage 2: Wash

Stage 3: Interior

A Premium Detail of the interior has a little more benefits than a standard detail. One of those benefits is the dressing of all plastics with Super Bee, a water-based dressing that acts as a vinyl cleaner, UV protectant, and dirt and grime remover.

  • Removes mats and seats from the vehicle.
  • Airs out the vehicle from the trunk to the front.
  • Vacuums the entire unit.
  • Applies All Clean on all door panels, dashboard, and center console.

Stage 4: Exterior

What good is an interior cleaning without an exterior cleaning? A premium detail, however, offers the application of HD Buffing Compound to the vehicle. HD Buffing Compound is used to remove any scratches and other defects.

Rupes polisher and Diamond Cut are also added to this stage of the service. Rupes polisher is used to evenly buff the body of the vehicle, and Diamond Cut leaves your tires with a shiny surface.

  • Wipes down rims, tires, and wheel wells with All Clean.
  • Dresses rims, tires, and wheel wells with Supershine Dressing.
  • Applies Diamond Cut and polishes the entire team with Rupes.
  • Applies and rubs in Rejuvenator to trims with a white sponge.
  • Applies glass cleaner to all windows. (inside and out.)
  • Dries windows with microfiber cloths.
  • Headlight Restoration.

Stage 5: Quality Check

De-Identification: Prices Start at $150.00

De-Identification is just like tattoo removal. It erases any decals and stickers from a vehicle’s body. While prices start at $150.00 per vehicle, the size determines the overall price. (The bigger the vehicle, the higher the price.)

Headlight Restoration: $40.00

The final service we offer is the restoration of headlights. This repairs sun and fog damage, but does not fix cracks or broken bulbs. This is available as an add-on to our Wash-Only service.
