Have you ever gone to the doctor for a health checkup? The doctor examines your blood pressure, heart rate, breathing, and other aspects of your health. This is done to confirm the status of your health and whether or not you need specific treatments. A similar procedure can be applied to vehicles, as well.

While we don't monitor our dealers' blood pressure, we provide inspection services to examine the condition of eligible vehicles passing through Big Valley Auto Auction.

In this article, you’ll learn about the inspection services available here at Big Valley Auto Auction, pricing information, the advantages each provides, eligible vehicle types, and the recommended timing for inspection requests.

After reading this article, you’ll have the information needed if you decide to request one of our inspection services for your vehicle.

What Inspection Services Does Big Valley Auto Auction Offer?

Big Valley Auto Auction offers 3 different inspection services for dealers:

  • Pre Sale Inspection
  • Post Sale Inspection
  • Frame Check

Pre Sale Inspection

A Pre Sale Inspection cost depends on the sale price of the vehicle.

PSI (7 Day)

  • Sale price between $3,001 - $9,999: $115.00
  • Sale price between $10,000 - $29,999: $140.00
  • Sale price between $30,000 - $74,999: 200

PSI (14 Day) Only for buyers outside of the RGV

  • $350.00

Our PSI includes a frame check and Drivetrain inspection. This inspection service is available for sellers who want to accurately represent their vehicle and avoid arbitration.

Post Sale Inspection

A Post Sale Inspection costs $115.00 and assures a vehicle ran under the correct light when the proper announcements were made. Buyers can request a Post Sale Inspection to assure they’re purchasing a vehicle that passed inspection.

Frame Check

A frame check costs $115.00 for vehicles with a sale price between $3,000 - $74,999. This is a thorough assessment of the structural integrity and condition of a vehicle's frame. This service examines the frame for signs of damage, corrosion, rust, or other structural issues that could compromise the vehicle's safety and performance.
